Legacy is built “one small decision at a time” (Chrystal Hurst). These words were spoken by Chrystal at the home-going service which celebrated the life of her mother, Dr. Lois Evans, (wife of Pastor Tony Evans) on January 8, 2020. As she described her mother’s impact, Chrystal explained that legacy is like a pebble which has ripple effects, it is built “one small moment at a time, by doing the right thing, for the right reasons, for lasting impact.”
Many of us would like to do great things and to leave behind a rich legacy, but sometimes we forget that legacy is built by the moment by moment decisions we make everyday and not just at the instances when we accomplish amazing feats. The purpose of this blog is to remind of us this by providing insight into the lives of men and women who have lived well and have have made a difference by consistently choosing to make decisions which positively impact others. May we be encouraged and inspired by their stories to live well daily so that we can achieve a life well lived.
